rich1068
Saw one of these on Fourtitude the other day and I had to wipe the drool off my chin. A quick trip over to Awesome yesterday and I came back with this... And because it's been raining all day... Yay! Tart mod! In case you didn't know it comes with a replacement panel filter too but I've already got the K&N so I didn't use it.
harddrive
Hmmm Carbon You said that you have changed for the K&N panel... Do you find this any better? The only reason I ask is that I fitted the K&N to my A3 and found that the fuel consumption went up (was bound to happen) but when I ran the VAG tools on the car the mass airlow sensor said that it was performing worse that the standard audi one Also I have read that becuase the K&N unit has an oil content it damages the mass airflow sensor after an extended time of use I have now removed the K&N unit and gone back to the standard filter Sorry to put a dampner on the fact you have already purchased and installed this but I thought you should know. rich1068
In the past few weeks I've had the Bluefin and fitted the K&N. I can honestly say that fuel economy has improved if anything. And with regard to MAFs and oiled filters (K&N, Green etc), well I think it's a handy get out for Audi/VW/Skoda/SEAT. MAFs fail and on the various forums it's like Chinese Whispers. Old wives tale as far as I'm concerned. But thanks for the thought anyway. Looks nice doesn't it? :edit: Great site btw!

[/ QUOTE ] I think Red Robin has had one of these fitted to his Love GTi for a while now. Looks the biz. The A4 one is quite tasty too. Problem is nobody seems to post stuff like this in the tuning section so it just goes unnoticed for most of us....... BUB

Ollie_A3
looks good mate, although 165quid?! ouch! Out of interest whats the mileage on your car? im considering bluefin but worried its a bit too new to be toying with it just yet...
rich1068
Plus the VAT. But bear in mind you're getting a new panel filter in with that too. Re: the bluefin. Mines done about 12k now. I don't think there's any minimum mileage you should do before a map but saying that I'd probably get at least a couple of thousand miles under my belt. Not based on logic, just that's what I'd do. rich1068
Here are some pics of the standard intake it replaced. Top/front Front on it's side Underside Probably imagining it but the car seems a little more free revving. That said I'm wearing new shoes
