Tizzy
Yep this week's rant concerns the dumb-ass's who drive along on the inside lane of dual-carriageways nicely tucked in behind an HGV and then suddently decide to lurch out and overtake just as you're about to come past them in the outside lane. Such moronic behaviour is sometimes accompanied by a cursory single indicator flash (if you're lucky) but at no time does the driver EVER look in his/her rear view mirrors. So to the numpty in the black Corsa on the A46 this morning - yes there is faster traffic on the outside lane and yes you do have to wait for it to become clear before lurching out and then proceeding past the HGV at all of 5mph faster than the HGV was travelling. What really gets me is that when these sanctimonius gits actually do wake up and realise you are fairly close behind them (as you would be having just had to apply the brakes quite firmly) they then take as long as possible to move back left after completing their "overtake" and often like to give you a flash or make a nice little one or two fingered gesture to say "hello". I really think I should market some kind of front firing paintball cannon for TSN members, then we'd all know the numpties by the pink paint splats on the back of their cars!! Rant over & BP returned to normal!
Ian_C
These drivers' do annoy me. On the other hand, it is better than just staying out in the fast lane and not bothing to drop in. Ian
shark_90
I see all sorts of crap out on the roads - I find the best thing to do is put the Xenons on, even in the day time. You'd be surprised how much more you'll get noticed, and how people begin to indicate and change their mind and don't pull out, and also get out of your way in the fast lane (Or maybe that's just what an A4 with blaring Xenons about 8 inches from their boot does to them )
jonnybuzz
the one that get me is lorry drivers they just pull out went they wont!!
garcon magnifique
The thing with lorries is that you can generally predict when they're going to pull out. It's usually easy enough to tell whether they're gaining on the truck in front, and they don't exactly move quickly. As for outside lane hogs - yes they're frustrating, but they're not as dangerous as people who just pull out without looking. The people who piss me off the most are the ones who sit 8 inches off my arse with xenons ablaze.

[/ QUOTE ] Many years ago a foreign high sided artic did this to me on the M25 is the peeing rain. I was in my metro at the time and imagine my horror as I ended up quite litterally UNDER the lorry. Changing lanes to the right simply wasnt an option as there was already traffic in the way. I managed to stop the lorry after the incident. I had some minor damage to the car - nothing that a T-Cut didnt fix but the gist of what the driver said to me was 'YOU were in MY blind spot, how am I to be expected to see you there!'. I had to leave it at that, else it would have been a somewhat physical exchange of thoughs...

Find that this causes the moron moths to become more dazed and confused than usual, pulling out at junctions in front of me, probably thinking that I've just flashed them as I drive over the potholed excuses that pass for roads here
