wyliss
Just about to place an order for this, am to use Autoglym SRP to polish the surface before applying the Wolfgang?# Cheers
J_C
Yes - I have used SRP as a cleaner before applying the Wolfgang sealant, and had no problems. The combination seems to work well. I used to use Zymol HD Cleanse paint cleaner but SRP is easier to remove and gives better results IMO.

[/ QUOTE ] Cheers John, just the person who I needed the info off seeing as you have a silver car....placing my order tonight all I need now is some clearkote RMG...would you bother with this between the SRP & Wolfgang? bpsmith
I use the RMG and the Wolfgang Sealant and it rocks big time! The oils in the RMG are great for feeding back the oils lost in poliching, but then I am using the Menzerna range prior to this so not 100% if it is needed after the SRP as not taking as much of the clearcoat away I guess? Anyway as far as the combo goes I can confirm it works a treat thanks to Steelwind for recommending btw!

Like bpsmith I am also using Menzerna polishes and to date I've just been going straight to the WG sealant and then the LSPs (Pinnacle Souveran and Zymol Carbon). I am going to get some poorboys pro polish, clearkote rmg and wolfgang. Will forget the AG SRP. Got this advice from steelwind 101 (Geoff) ...very informative. Have a look at the other quite recent posts re the AG SRP etc, Linky

steelwind101
I think thats the only place!! If you are not topping Wolfgang, and its so good you might not want too!! Consider adding some spray top up sealant to your order!! Geoff
J_C
I'm topping it with Pinnacle Liquid Souveran, and when I've finished PCing the whole car I may apply a final layer of Zymol Carbon, of which I have about a quarter of a pot left. When those LSPs run out I intend to try either the Pinnacle Signature paste wax (which I'm told produces superb results on silver once the car's fully prepped and sealed), or this Victoria stuff that everybody's talking about. Thanks for the tip about the spray.
steelwind101
John, Watch out when you layer so many products as each one effects the next and there all pretty nice!! Sometimes you might get a nicer finish using just one pure!! Geoff
J_C
Will do Nothing's going on it at the moment apart from the WG, panel by panel. This is because I am still at the 'correction' stage with the PC. Now that the days are longer I should have more time (and sunlight!) to get it finished. johnss8
You'll never finish it mate, leave out the souveran and go straight to your carbon
J_C
I reckon I'll do one half of the bonnet with the Carbon and the other with the Souveran and compare the results.

johnss8
This could work out well Al let JC do his car in Carbon, yours in Souveran and then he can do mine with Swissvax BOS It might be worth the trip down there, so while JC's doing the cars we're in the pub
