Took it out last week. Quiet and souless IMO. Still, it's quick, comfortable, nice firm (but not crashy) ride, excellent seats mated to that superb engine. Only thing I find incredibly hard to swallow is 18k+ OTR for standard and 19k+ for the 'GT'. They also do a proclaimed (and not heavily advertised) 'stripped out' version...........

......takes them 8wks or more to leave out the rear parcel shelf, A/C and radio etc. 40 kilos lighter i believe is the end result.

Be interesting to see if we build a better JDM version over here again to ship out to Japan. Then we can import it back again and pay group 20 insurance for the privilege. 169144-ok.gif

I had a look at one the other day, found it cramped compared to the old one. Is it a better machine to drive? I thought the old one with the supercharger from the Atom would be a blast, probably dangerous;-)

I can't help but think that a Focus ST2 is a better buy when you see them offered at 16k.

To hide the fat bottom?

Some of the 'black' ones might be the new bronzey colour. Looks very dark in all the photos I've seen - I thought people were going crackers (or my eyes had given up) when they suggested they were bronze.

Depends on your definition of better. Compared to my EP3, IMO, the game hasn't moved on. It's quieter, more refined, the VTEC kicks in a little earlier, erm...none of this necessarily better than the EP3. In fact the gearshift in the EP3 was much better and the driving experience to me was more Type-R. This is coming from someone who traded his EP3 for a new Cliosport 182 and traded that damn sharpish for a 6 yr old DC2 laugh.gif

The market has changed, the EP3 was a huge success and I believe they wanted to cash in off the back of it and why not? Honda are, after all, out to sell cars and make money and to do so means appealing to more than a handful of 'die hards' who want a raw thrill with minimal sound proofing and next to no luxuries. I don't think it will be as successful as the EP3 but it will still sell well.

I would have thought that Orange is a bit unlikely - hell they won't even offer white.

I suspect the colours won't go beyond what's available unless Honda get desperate for sales (so not beyond the realms of possibility). White, grey, blue and that orangey bronze they used on the boggo Civic showcar are the only ones I would imagine to be in scope - but then again that's just my opinion!
