Dan32
For summer use, fitted a wiper delete blanking plug. Its made of glass so matches the glass of the rear window. I got mine from Venom Motorsport and it came with glue. Fitting was straight forward enough. Remove rear wiper followed by interior boot trim. Take out wiper motor, block up the water pipe and I wrapped the electrical connection in insulation tape for piece of mind.

jamieca
looks good but whats the point? does the glue come out easy? surely theres a chance of rain here in summer or dust kicking up etc

Dan32
Its obviously aerodynamic and adds 15mph to my top speed Glue is very similar to silicone and should be easy to remove if necessary. Its purely styling and I am definitely one for being different to the herd whenever I can. Rain X is my solution to not having the wiper
Oli
[ QUOTE ] Its obviously aerodynamic and adds 15mph to my top speed [/ QUOTE ] Mines coming off tonight, I might even take my front ones off, that will improve my speed by a total of 45mph

robin09
I like it. My rear wash doesnt work, so I havent actually used the rear wiper for about 8 months. If I could be bothered, I'd do it.
Dan32
Tyresmoke sticker is available from one of the mods if you ask them nicely (oh, and part with a few quid!). Usually available at meets but as you are in N.I might be difficult to get to one! Venom don't list the part on their website so I had to call them direct and ask for the MKIV rear window glass blanking plate. £12 I think. www.venommotorsport.com 01254 820005

pomme
Ive had this done, but instead of using the venom kit, i went down halfords and got a gromit for a few quid. But i will end up putting the blank from just matz: But i dont find any issues of not having the rear wiper, im just glad you dont get that rainbow effect, and it also means i wash the car more which has to be a good thing? Dan32
Sorry Ross, think it was nearer the £25 mark. Been buying few bits and pieces recently and one of them must have been £12 and I got confused.

RFredR32
Out of interest can they fail you on MOT for not having rear wiper. Dan no worries mate i know how it is gettin bills from all directions milltek superchips etc. etc.
Dan32
I think MOT failure is based on if its fitted but doesn't function, i.e you will see Ford Sierras with foglights missing as its easier to pull them out than try and fix them to pass an MOT. Will check though. Its easy enough to pop it out and put the wiper back in if necessary. Cheers Roy. You know me, its all about being smooth!
