bmx
does anyone know of a fitting guide for the ARB's on a mk5 Golf? without having a look i wondered if anyone knew what the job entailed, ie does it involve droping the subframe like on the mk4 chassis. petsy
is this for the front or rear arb? the rears are easy but the fronts entail alot of work.

AdyGTI
The rear one is really very simple on the GTI. I had my car up on some ramps for an oil/filter change and it's all out in the open. Just six nuts/bolts and the rear one is off no problems. The front one, whilst I couldn't get a good look at it looks more involved. From what I could see, and this might be incorrect, that the Anti-roll bar bolts onto the top of the front subframe in what looked to be a tight area. Not sure if you'ld need to drop the subframe though. You might be able to unbolt it and pull it out the fromthe front wheel arch but I just can't say for sure. Hope that helps. RedRobin
IIRC it helps to put car high up in the air and remove wheels to then fit the ARBs.
