ChadW
Guess it would be about the £1k mark but anyone here had their TT resprayed? Ideally the TT has less panel area to do than most so should be cheaper, maybe? Thanks in advance for any figures.
ChadW
Holy cowpat, £2k apparently but that was from a Lexus approved bodyshop. So no go on that route, think I will sort my front wings out, then get the bonnet done at a later date. See that is what washing the car does, makes you notice things you do not want to see! Anyone else with a Brilliant silver TT wh get loads of shades appearing over time?
shao_khan
If you go over to Oxford edition - some of the guys there have body shop fascilities available - they just did my A4 after some daft bint decided she needed all the roundabout, fantastic job, no new panels, just good old fashioned panel beating and paintwork that you cant see the difference in any light. Might be worth a try.
ChadW
Thanks for the recommendation, hoping for more sunny days to come as in the sunlight you cannot see any difference at all.
p1tse
why you respraying? a new colour in mind?
ChadW
Not really no, the current car turns two tone in dull light conditions. Brought and viewed the car on light sunny days, since then I have found that the roof, tailgate and driver side panels are different shade to the rest of the car, biggest difference is the front spoiler and bonnet. Not happy at all as the Lexus dealer I brought it off won't do anyhing unless I pay extra for any work needed to be done on it.
lottiefox
Sorry you are not happy with the TT - silver can look a bit two tone in some lights, just through age and care of paintwork. There is a good bodyshop near APS in Brackley who are mending my lower sill next week (whoopsy ) and have done a full respray on one of the APS guy's cars. PM if you want details. ChadW
Thanks for the info. the car is going back for a dent repair so see what they say first whilst its back there. The car itself goes well and feels great tho, brings a smile to my face whenever I go out in it.
