efc Posted June 13, 2007 Report Share Posted June 13, 2007 Bought a new Golf GT 170 TDI DSG last september.It is a great car BUT every now and then the engine sounds really rough a bit like an old transit van,the noise doesn`t last long maybe 5 miles or so and goes as soon as it came.Been back to the dealers 4 times but every time i got there the noise had stopped,even left it with the warranty manager for a week but the noise never happened.Everything shows up ok on their computer.I know a friend who bought a golf GT 170 TDI just before me and he hasn`t heard any noises in his.It is so frustrating.Does anyone here know about this or what it could be?
