hi i have a mk4 golf v5, 1999 10valve.

under slight acceleration round about 1800-2200 rpm it has a power loss, if i boot it it seams to accelerate ok.

i just changed air filter oil and plugs, any ideas what it might be.

it was happening before service.

i also tried injector cleaner.

i thought maybe try new petrol filter, or could it be mass air flow or lambard probe or ????????/

Hi please help i have tried unpluging the maf meter and still the same problem so does this rule that out as a source of the problem or sould i still try replacing the maf.

i checked all the hoses took of the air tube between filter and injector inlet tube. there was quite alot of oil in it and the round flat plate that turns whith the throttle was very dirty, like a black layer of dirt biult up on it. is this a problem do i need to do anything about it.

That's exactly how to test for the problem. When it's removed, there's no metering going on. When you unplug it, it's exactly the same, so there's no metering going on when it's plugged in.

Replace the MAF 169144-ok.gif
