Which Dipsh** designed the Dipstick

I know it has been said before, but I have to just say how rubbish the dipstick is.......have just tried to check the oil level on 07 A4 2.0 tdi -3000miles and am astounded as to how poor it is. Not only is it the distance between min and max, but the ball type bobble above the max seems to get oil on it, making you wonder if the level is too high...........unlikely as have had the car since new.

When technicians change oil, does the computer tell them how much to put in or do they rely on the Dipsh**. Given how inaccurate this dipstick is wonder how many people overfill....don't suppose the odd 100ml extra would do too much, but I'm sure there are some who chuck it in a litre at a time. Whoever is in charge of the dipstick department at Audi needs to pull their finger out of their ar**.
