9969
Hi I'm looking for an external hard drive to plug into my laptop. Sounds easy (!) I only use my laptop for music , through windows media player 11. I have been told that the best drives are fan cooled (I'm looking at 300Gb+ sizes) but can't seem to find one that says "fan cooled" I'm looking for small , compact & USB connection Any help out there ? danksy
I had an email off ebuyer offering 500gb ones for about £60 the other day Don't know if they are fan cooled or not
Tonsko
I've just bought a Seagate FeeAgent Pro. At £110 for 500gb it's quite pricey, but it comes in a well smart brushed aluminium case, and (the reason for the cost) has an external SATAII connector. If you're not that bothered about speed, just get any old case that has a usb connector and buy a hard disk and put it in yourself. Easily the cheapest option. mark88
You don't need one that's fan cooled. Ignore that advice.
Waylander
Maplin are currrently selling the Seagate FreeAgent 320Gb for £60. I have bought one and am using it as we speak. Silent and speedy. Highly recommended.
