Jack_is_Back
The bill for my first time/distance survey at my local VW dealer was £92 (of which £56 was labour). I was actually prepared for more but it's still a lot of money when you think about it. I mean, how long does an oil change take - half an hour?! They also carried out a visual inspection and have the cheek to write "free of charge" on the invoice. Oh, and if I want to have a 4-wheel alignment to correct a very slight pull to the left - £188.
petsy
hmm, what oil did they use as the retail cost of 4 litres of castrol edge 5w-30 is around £44 and you need just under 5 litres?
Jack_is_Back
It's not the longlife stuff as my car is set to time/distance servicing. They charged me £35 for 4.5 litres. I'm not fussed about having the longlife oil as I usually change the oil and filter every 5-6k miles anyway.
