Ari
Keep finding cat hairs on my car roof (Audi Cabrio). That in itself isn't much of a problem but I'm concerned that if they start clawing it it could be disasterous. Any thoughts or suggestions to keeping the blighters off? SamD
Buy a big dog to stand on the roof? Mark it as your territory in the way that a cat does
Milo
Orange peel and vinegar are apparently good for keeping them off the garden so maybe a liberal soaking with Sarsons and 2 dozen peeled oranges strategically spread on the roof

fatcat
I had the same problem when we moved house, the new drive and garage seems to be a favourite with the local cats and they took a shine to the Boxster, no problem really as we are cat lovers, I got around the problem by selling the car. NewNiceMrMe
Buy a Coupe Cabriolet? Put a tray, or area, of sand near the car. There must be plenty of that where you live. The cats will choose to lay in the sand 9 times out of 10. Put a cat scratching post near the car. They'll go to it everytime, rather than the car. Plant some 'Rue' near the car. Cat's hate the smell of it and won't come near again. If possible, set off the car alarm every time a cat sits on it. Cat's will learn, and they'll stop doing it - eventually... DanG
We have a car cover for our Cab despite it being parked in a barn type of structure. Takes about 30 seconds to fit, or 20 if the other half helps. Also keeps off the bird poo if left outside, and bat poo if parked inside. Cheaper than a new roof too! oneforsorrow
I tried surrounding my cab with "Silent Roar" (Lion poo pellets). It worked for a while then I noticed the scratches on the paintwork. Neighbours cat was jumping onto the roof, smelling the lion poo and panicking, clawing the paintwork as it leapt off - dratt... I've resorted to sleeping in the car and locking cat in my house.

pontyslapper
Jeyes fluid liberally sprinkled on the area around the car. According to the cat protection websites, it buggers the pads on their feet up - they won't be back! I personally use the Bin Fresh powder stuff. If you really hate 'em - can of tuna laced with paracetamol 'dust' (about 12 should do it). They bleed from the inside out. This is for info only and was gained from American cat lover websites - its amazing what some people will write on the internet when they think they are helping themselves and people like them!
