Luke
I had the pleasure of driving one of these vehicles today. Was impressed with the dual power and the oomph, the gearbox, the comfort of the interior, the electric bits, the brakes. The way it handled was a big surprise, very direct and car like, alot of fun if you wanted. This was also my only disapointment. I thought the car would be alot more relaxing and comfortable. I imagined it to be a luxury cruiser more than a 4 wheel drive vehicle that could be a match for most cars in the bends. To get it to handle like it does its got quite a hard ride and it feels pretty stiff. I suppose it depends on what you want though. Overall though, a top motor
Ian_C
Chris, just out interest, instead of getting rid of the 320d, did you keep it and px the Audi instead? Ian

[/ QUOTE ] The Audi is long gone. It was a company car that went back when I left a good while ago now. The 320d was part exchanged for the Lexus. Ian_C
Fair enough. You hated it didn't you! Have you got a little diesel daily driver in your household still, or just the 6 and the RX now? Ian
NewNiceMrMe
Just the 6 and the RX now. I've done less than 150 miles in the 6 in the last 4 weeks so to have another car to runabout in would be pointless. I think I've done about 1,300 miles in the 6, in the 4 months since the A4 went. So based on annual mileage of about 4,000 miles....
Ian_C
Cripes, that is less than me! 4500 miles over the course of my first year with the 205 GTi, 1500 of which were clocked up during ten trips to Windsor and back. Ian
NewNiceMrMe
I might edge 6,000. It depends on the winter we have and whether or not I want to go through a hedge. MrsMe will do about 14,000 per year, so she makes up for it. I might use her car more often now too. The 320d was a very capable car, but completely incomparable to the Lexus. Ian_C
[ QUOTE ] I might edge 6,000. [/ QUOTE ] Dread to imagine you depreciation per mile figure from new! Who cares though, the car is mint as a result of the low mileage, plus you get to properly 'enjoy' the car by using it for pleasure at the weekends and evenings rather than for commuting through rush hour traffic.
