First mountain bike XC race entered

So I have signed up for my first XC mountain bike race :roflmao: t-2 and a half weeks

Good on you! I do XC mtb every Sunday. About 20-35 miles depending on time and conditions. When it's as wet as it's been it is really hard out on the wilds. Where is the event and how long is it. Do you do alot of mtb?

And I bought a new toy too :rolleyes: but it's carbon fibre so thats ok you see.

Only entering at the "beginner" level so a 5-6k event. Been back riding for about 6 months but enjoy it quite a lot

I think my build will be close to 10 as well, but the pedals have to be added to that.

I've found not much difference between 10 and 11kg bikes. Strength in your legs and endurance are what counts ;)

Just don't go balls out in your first race!

Yeah I suspect at that weight it won't be much of a differential. The endurance is the current issue, but all being well September will be a breeze (and if it's too hard I can stop halfway as it runs past my house!)
