Vauxhall Vectra 1.6 or something never found out. The only person happy to see me in it was Mr Smitten at the A4 Summer Meet as he thought i was turning up in a 1.gif

When I had an Mx5, Beaconsfield Mazda/mercedes gave me a Pink Kia Pride with whitewall tyres. They gave this to Mercedes owners too. nice.

The worst?

Easy - a Rover 200, the blobby shaped one. This was in return for a BMW 530i Sport that needed attention from the bodyshop.

The main problem was that is seemed to lack any connection between the rightmost pedal and anything that might qualify as an engine. At least, prodding the pedal seemed to have no effect at all.

Then there was the seat, or at least the soft horizontal surface placed in front of the steering wheel. This offered no support whatsoever, so when I did manage to get the car moving (more through willpower than torque), taking any form of corner made me feel as if I was about to slide off into the passenger footwell.

Mind you, that would have been more comfortable. And probably just as safe, given that it couldn't exceed 2 mph anyway. Mind you, as the bodyshell seemed more closely related to egg than steel I might be wrong there.

And, indignity of indignities, a BMW cut me up while I was willing the car to join a roundabout. BMW drivers? [email protected], the lot of them.

So no, I didn't like it.

Worst car - Fiat Doblo thingy when the ex's Brava/Bravo thingy was in for a service.

It's more than a van Jack, it's a Popemobile!

Vauxhall Agila, looks like a wendy house on wheels.

Put it into a bend on top of a motorway junction and it had quite an alarmimg angle of lean, the bloke in the car behind was wetting himself with laughter... 169144-ok.gif

+1 on the Agila - truly awful.

we had one when the S3 was in because some toerag had broken into it.

Makes you appreciate a good car even more driving something that crap.

+3 for the Agila, which was a loan car in respect of a 3.0 TD Hi-Lux! But at least I got my wife to drive that instead of me.

Previously, (about 2000) I have been loaned a Ford Ka whilst my Mondeo was being worked on. One quite obvious problem with that, I'm 6'6", 22 stone. Any my two best mates, although about as built as the old Xerox man, are both 6'4". We used to get crowds watching us climb in and out of the bloody thing.

My dad had a coming together with another driver in his BMW 520i Touring. He isn't a small fella yet the courtesy car he received was a Peugeot 106 1.0! He managed to hit the brake and accelerator pedals every time he tried to move or stop! Highly amusing 169144-ok.gif
