    Hi, I've just recently bought a 2003 A4 Cab and it sounds like I have exactly the same issue you posted about a while back:

    "Hi, I've had my A4 56 plate 2.0Tdi s line multi-tronic for just over a year now and noticed that when my steering is full locked it makes a knocking sound as if I am running over something, this normally only happens when I start the car on a cold day, I did notice it last year but did not have the time to take it back in or ask"

    Did you ever get to the bottom of what this was and how serious it is? Aany advice you could give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    Booked for Thursday, theres also seems to be a bit of a squeeking sound in the suspention when i go over bumps and pot holes, does anybody know if i mention this will it be covered under warranty. I'm not entirely sure what the warranty does and doesn't cover. Thanks

    Ok, looks like i'm going to have to book mine in and get them to fix it under warranty.

    just had mine upgated this morning, they left the old disc in the glove box. Anthing I can do with this now? They told me not to put it back in otherwise it will mess the setting up.

    do i need to book my car in with the dealer i bought it from or can it be any dealer for the free upgrade?

    My Audi garage quoted me an excess of £500 because i'm 24, the funny thing is my normal excess is £600.

    There seems to be a metal rod with a bold on it hanging out from under the car, its just to the side of the drivers side door but coming from under the car. Anybody had this problem or do you know what it may be?

    Just got a courtesy with bluetooth enabled,how can i set this to sync to my phone,it seems to be asking for a security code.

    Does anybody know what courtesy cars Bradford Audi offers, i'm due to get one on Thursday when I give my A4 in, if they offer me an A2 is there anyway i can get something bigger from them? Do they have a like for like policy or do you have to just take what they've got?

    I'm dropping it off on Thursday so hopefully they will sort it, not too happy about it though seen as its a new car. I hope their not planning on charging me for this of i will have something to say.

    I understand that, but the hot air keeps coming out and this takes it way over 16c. Must be the sensor, does anybody have any idea of how long this would take to fix or replace?

    Thats what i thought, but it just keeps blowing out hot air and this makes it too hot in the car, so not sure whats wrong with it.
