  1. Hi folks I am after a little help please, I stupidly purchased an ETKA disc from ebay a long time ago and thought I would try to put it on my p.c., I have now spent two days trying to do this with no joy as I keep getting a message about hardlock not being found:ffs: The disc I purchased was an installation disc, which came with 3 other data discs, and I have followed the instructions to the core and still nothing:ffs: Can anyone please point me in the right direction as to where I can either purchase one or download one that will work on either XP home edition or vista home premium? I’m no computer expert so one that is fairly simple to install and comes with instructions would be nice By the way I am after one for VW Many thanks in advance:)
  2. I cannot tell you the difference between a MKIV & MKV .:R32 as I have not driven a MKV but I know one thing and that is I would not get rid of my MKIV unless I really had to, That’s the best car I have owned and the nicest drive to+++ The only thing I would say is that I seem to have always been one model behind, When I had a MKII 16v I hated the shape of the MKIII but then it grew on me so I bought a MKIII VR6 and did not like the shape of the MKIV but that then grew on me and I have a very nice MKIV .:R32 (dbp) so I guess in time the MKV .:R32 will grow on me although with only 800 or so of my colour made I have no intentions of getting rid because they will become rare (If there not already) unlike the MKV which is a little more common (Not wishing to upset anybody) I guess at the end of the day it is what you feel happier in :D
  3. Riz i think it is fair to say that is a very good explanation on reasons to buy an R32 For me it was the logical next step, Having owned Mk2 16v Golf (They didnt do a V6 for that model which was a shame ) then a MKIII VR6 Golf (and boy did i love that car ) My next step was obviously the MKIV and as the VR6 had such an impact for me i just had to stay with the V6 power and the MKIV R32 just looks stunning I seem to be one step behind when it comes to the Golfs shape, When i had my MK2 i hated the shape of the MKIII then i got a MKIII and hated the shape of the MKIV and with keeping of tradition i now own a MKIV and im not that keen just yet on the shape of the MKV, This is of course only my opinion and choice and i am sure a MKV will oneday be sitting in my garage To be honest though i almost sold my MKIV R32 and i can tell you this much im so glad i did not i just knew i would miss it and like a few others have proberly end up regretting it
  4. BrakeSnake lmfao they do have that effect on you those cars
  5. Nice one Riz, I just bought some dodo wax for mine so she is gonna have a good clean and some proper driving over the weekend Glad to hear your enjoying the car mate and with this weather (Well sunny hear) it is even better just need to sort out some tunes and im off
  6. Thanks chaps im so happy i decided to keep it, I drove it home tonight and thats the first time i have driven it for two months Straight to the shell station filled up with V-Power and im set for a whole weekend of driving some great roads, I may even sleep in the car this weekend im so happy although not sure the trouble and strife will let me BrakeSnake, the old Buxton Cat and Fiddle? whats that is it on google earth (Hope you enjoyed the drive mate) Riz mate hows yours then i bet your a happy chappy is it as good as the one you sold or better?
  7. Just to let anyone who may read this post know that this car is no longer for sale, I have decided to keep the .:R as circumstances have changed for me (For the better) and thats great news for me :D:D
  8. Hi there, yes indeedy im on R32OC also ..... infact its been a long while since ive last posted in vast amounts on TSN. TSN is great too with known regulars..... I guess we have good banter on here but the wealth of the R32 owners seem to be on R32OC..... there hasnt been much activity on the R32 section of TSN.... not sure why really....

I would recommend R32OC alongside TSN. TSN has alot more memebers crossing lots of different brands etc... Ive been a member on here for ages.....

Any other questions feel free to ask.

    Riz

  9. Riz, Which Kidney (LMFAO) Just as a matter of interest unless I am being stupid here and missed something in one of the posts but which colour did you go for and where did you purchase it (E-bay/R32OC or was it Craigieboys?)
  10. I could not agree more Riz, Mine is looked after like a baby and i am thankfull that my other half is very understanding :D
  11. Riz, You got yourself another.:R then :D I bet your very happy right now nice one mate+++
  12. I’m glad to hear you sold your car mate, I hope you got what you wanted for it and your right I bet you will miss it I’m in the same boat as I’m selling mine although I have had a serious change of heart and I think I am now proberly going to keep mine What are you getting now that the R32 has gone?
  13. Riz, Thanks for that i think you could be spot on there and i did wonder just how much i would regret it but i guess you dont know until it has gone although you say you regret selling yours and i know a few others that have said exactly the same thing
  14. Brisel, Many thanks for the heads up about Autotrader although bit of a catch 22 as a lot of people do look in there as you stated, Saying that i have not recieved one phone call about it from there all the calls i have had have been the advert i put on piston heads To be honest i am seriously thinking about keeping the car now as the interest i have had has been from people just wanting a drive (Although they did not get any free rides from me) I did not want to sell the car in the first place and i am not desperate for the cash so i shall let the ebay/Autotrader/Piston heads/Free adds run and if there is no joy i get to keep my car :D (Spoke to the wife and she was happy about that which is just great for me:D:D:D) Take care mate and i hope your enjoying the RS4
