    My mates R8

Not only is it a Maser in the background, but it's a Maser driven and owned by my 79 year old dad!!!! How understatedly cool is that. Like the black R8 with Millteks, just fitted mine with them and would recommend them to any R8 owner. Not too boomy, but now makes the noise you'd expect the looks to make. Took it to Le Mans and the whole world commented on how good it sounds.
  2. Think i might just have been going a bit too fast the other day. ANDY (AUDI RS6 REVO CIRCA 515bhp 500lbs + Milteks + 1 beagle)
  3. I have both dipped and full xenon headlights (albeit the full lights are xenon bulbed) on the RS6 and quite frankly they are worth every penny to my night driving. I would not hesitate in them being ticked if they were on the options list. As for aftermarket bulbs, they are not the same, Gas discharge xenons are projector style lamps (they are the small bublous lensed lamps you see) that give off far more light than the xenon bulbs. By all means buy bulbs if you already have standard lamps, there is no question that they will perform better. However, if buying a new car go for the xenon discharge lights they are superb.
  4. Dave all the car companies are the same, you know how much ive spent on Audis in the past few years, well I've been to 2 BMW dealers and 1 Porsche dealer asking about details on everything from M5 to 911 including next 997 Turbo and Cayenne, but not once has one of them chased me up. I deliberately parked the RS6 outside where they could see and gave work as my correspondence so they knew I wasnt bullshitting about being in league to buy one, but nothing, absolute crap. I just buy the car i want, as almost all dealers i have dealt with have been a disappointment at some time or an other.

    Discount ?

The only way you will get any discount on an RS4 is if you have done good business with your dealer previously.
  6. RS6 is belt driven i believe. I live near Derby and personally i wouldnt go to Audi Derby, even in they threatened to mash up there nice spangly new showroom into very sharp pieces and forcefully shove it....... anyway you get my drift, I have always found them to have a couldnt care less attitude. I have bought £400,000 worth of audis in the past 5 years, the money must be too easy for them because they were not bothered in the slightest in my business.
  7. Want to know whether anyone else has come across this problem. When steering at low speeds with the wheel at about 10 to the hour, my RS6 makes a bit of a groan. You can actually feel this through the wheel aswell. Took it to my local dealer 3 times now. First two times, usual crap that they couldnt replicate the noise so they couldnt do much about it, but checked to make sure it was safe. 3rd time the service manager overheard me talking and said does it sound like "mooing"? It does so he then proceeded to tell me that this is a known problem on the new A4 and the RS6 (some A6 too) and that audi are waiting for a revision to the steering on the A4 to see if this will fix it. In the meantime they have again assured me that it sounds unsettling but is actually quite safe. Has anybody else come across this?

    RS6 wheels

OK i admit it , Ive only had the bloody thing for 6 months and i have now scuffed my last virgin alloy. Does anyone have any tips or spares I could buy.
  9. Down to driver really i feel, got a mate who races alot (historic racing car champ) he says he could easily keep up with an M3 in his golf v6 4motion. Unless the driver really new what he was doing. In an S3 in the wet, he reckons no contest, the S3 wins. He has owned all these plus an EVO and TVR (list goes on). EVO spanks the lot unfortunately for us all.
  10. Same as Dave here, 2500 miles on my RS6 and never seen the other side of 19mpg. Never going to either, way too many BMWs to piss off in the East midlands. PS. Do Mercs now only come in that standard issue silver now????
  11. I've heard that those upgrades are really risky.......... Especially for those married men who haven't yet told their wives...... And who had it done whilst they were on holiday with the wife and kids in the second car....... Dave, I presume the cheque is in the post to me as we speak.......
  12. NSX Type R gets the closest to being a supercar, but even that isnt quite there. Just a very good sports car. To be a supercar in the truest sense it just lacks that final bit of drama, or over the topness. Evidence: Just put a NSX next to a lamborghini Morochello......meucello.....oh you know the one, the NSX just lacks something. Great sportcars and especially supercars need that little something special. Its obvious that the new NSX Type R is a great handler (lithe and in touch), im sure the engine is a technological normally aspirated tour de rev it's nuts off, but to my mind it just doesn't do it. Oh and Tara Palmer Tompkinson had one.....
  13. Not yet, but my names 1st on the list at the dealers for an RS3 for the wife. Might be a wait though, anyone heard if the a4 coupe is still gonna happen, that might be a stop gap!
