  1. After having my R32 for 2 years today is a sad day as my blue R32 is going as it is at the end of its lease. So no doubt it will end up at an auction somewhere, it was a Bank of Scotland car. Its in good nick, not modified in any way, leather and cruise control. Serviced correctly with some decent rubber left on the tyres. Hopefully it will go to a good home, if you get it let me know. The reg is ??53VHG, with 42095 miles on the clock.
  2. You noticed how dirty it was, I feel ashamed. The crooklock thing, well, as you may recall I had my last R32 stolen in December 2003. Visual rather than practical. If you are up again, find me in the Sharks Ski Club Clubhouse. I am co-Chairman of the ski club there
  3. Sorry to hear, one year ago I was in same position, still, I got another one. The old one was never found. Main thing is family are ok
  4. My first service on variable servicing was at 18173, the cost was £200 ex vat, lots of oil in the price Service was £114 Wiperblades £20 Oil £50 Even though on variable servicing the Invoice states that next service is due up to June 2006 (2 years from first service) or at 37173 miles i.e. 19000 miles Hope that helps on servicing costs and time
  5. Possibly Naseem Hamed, heard that he had one, or one of his family. Ecclesall Road good possibility. He usually has an amazing sound system you could hear in the city centre as he is driving along Ecclesall Road
  6. Having already lost one R32 by having the keys nicked and major damage to the house. The new one has tracker plus a device called car back. Tracker works when you know the car has been stolen and you can report it, but car back is aimed at car jacking, which I believe will be more common place in the future. Give them the keys, they will get 1/2 mile, alarm starts then the immobiliser cuts in stopping the fuel pump. It cost £350 for both Tracker and Car Back fitted, excluding annual tracker fee. The hidden switch for the car back is hidden. It has been fun a couple of times when in for service etc. I warn them but they don't listen. Last time in Newcastle I was at the front of the showroom, I could hear the alarm for 5 minutes before the technician came through, admitted defeat and I had to show him how to disable - excellent security
  7. Just managed to see you, nearly ran into back of vehicle in front in queue of traffice
  8. Donna Ruth I know of, DW? - If you are passing through Eckington during the day call in at the Business Centre, opposite Civic Centre, currently based their but moving to the new business innovation centre at Westhorpe, Killamarsh early August. You in IT ?
  9. Office in Eckington, Live Killamarsh so possibly. Remember I saw you your first/second weekend when you got your R32 near Drakehouse
  10. Seen her, a couple of months ago, she was in Sheffield on a Saturday afternoon, went past us at junction, acknowleged her but nothing. About five minutes later she had parked up and was out of the car believe me I am right, large lady
  11. The question I had in my mind was how does she get into the vehicle, she must be nearly 6 foot tall and very big build. .
  12. If its the one I have seen in Sheffield - she is not young and she is not fit , but then again neither am I
  13. Saw a silver R32 about a month ago, driving into CBD from Airport, only one I saw
  14. Hesitation not bad, runs well after upgrade no noticable difference, 18K + on it. The problem is that when it happens - no brake lights !
  15. Car serviced week last Tuesday, Barringtons Chesterfield. Software upgrade done. Sunday afternoon, EPC light comes on, won't go out. Take it to dealers on Monday, brake switch and fuse replaced. 130 miles later on Tuesday in Newcastle same problem, this time just the fuse. So this morning same again, fuse gone - buying a pack of a dozen. Anyone else been aware of similar. Its got to go back but - the electronic diagnostic did not pick up any problems !
  16. Did they actually look at you, I have a problem recognising R32's when travelling particularly when there is alot of traffic around. Usually by the time I have recognised one its gone past ! By the way not been in the SW recently
  17. Slow ! bollocks, my co Director was commenting on how often I red line it, not a speed merchant but like to get to the legal limit (and a bit above) quickly. Shows an R32 to its full.
  18. The car was first registered in September 2003, so its not near the 1 year. It was interesting that the mileage is very similar i.e. 16,666
  19. Read this, just got to 16,500, thinking when will mine want to tell me, lo and behold, past 16,666, stopped at services on way home, wallop, there it is - Service due in 2,000. Variable service I really wonder
  20. Spotted Monday 18:00, was sat having a latte and donut
  21. Just come back from Wengen, week before Easter, took 70 people, guess what - it snowed - even at low level in the valley. Third year we have been and never had a problem with snow. Powder days !
  22. True Checkpoint does not know which direction the camera is pointing, but as some units can be switched, the warning is better than nothing
  23. I have looked at Road Angel and Origin B2, both very good units especially for fixed cameras. The problem with the laser detector is that apart from false alarms it is usual that once it has detected you the laser gun already has a lock and taking a reading. Slowing down will help but most of us are not driving within the limit especially out of town. I use iPAQ with Navman jacket and Tom Tom Navigator 2 with some additional software from CheckPoint. This not only provides voice guidance but also provides audible warning of speed cameras (and their speed setting) and mobile camera points. So far it has warned me of every camera I have seen. Additionally I have all McDonalds, Little Chefs, Travelodges and Inns marked - ok I don;t have shares in McD's although my colleagues suggest I have

    Nose down?

Having read this I decided to check my own. Even more confused. The gap at rear appears to vary, even on a flat surface. Had a knocking sound on OSR, thought it was a dry knock or something rolling about in the boot. Can the car self level? Been knocking so decided to jet wash around the rear suspension, appears to have resolved - certainly on a 10 minute ride did not hear a thing. Any other comments welcome. CONFUSED
  25. How about some history of Gamma, us new TSN's are not aware of the guy. Anyway Alaska is cold, Sheffield could be considered cool, well my fridge is anyway
