  1. From a salesman’s point of view I’m intrigued to find out what makes buying a car from a main dealer a pleasurable experience for you and what you’d expect from first point of contact to handover. Your thoughts Chaps
  2. Fizz , need photgraphic evidence!!! The biggest shock of the trip was falling asleep on the plane coming home and then jumping out my seat when I'd just driven my KA off the side of the mountain!!!!!!!!!!
  3. Hi John,

Thank you for your message, If you PM me a contact number I'll give you a call and have a chat. The only bad thing about the Cayenne Diesel, well two actually is that 1. There hard to find and 2. Porsche have just increased the price by £1000 on new cars.

But send me your number and I can tell you all about them.

    Kind regards

    Craig Porter

  4. That would be everyone then Tipex, I'd say have what you want forget what the Duisberg boi says as he sounds like a BMW driver to me!!!
  5. Is it that obvious!!! Fire away....
  6. I don't agree on handing back all battered as someone somewhere would have to pay costs etc Handing the keys back and saying it's in a field, a river or you can't remember where it is would be acceptable!!
  7. Some interesting points, some I'd have to agree with. Spiker, when it comes to options it's a personnel thing really, in my opinion. From a salesman's point of view most customers ask for the following options. PCM (Sat Nav) Telephone Module 19" Wheels I would agree a full OPC history is essential, buying from an OPC does have it's advantages. Cheapest isn't always the best!!! With Porsche giving a 24 month warranty specialists will be shaking in their boots!!! I would agree that on 19's they do tram a little, find a nice stretch of tarmac though and you'd be pleased you went for the bigger wheel option. I'm not sure what biscuit means about point 4 "the 2.7 engine, it's really bad" ? If you drive a 2.7 back to back with the 3.2, yes you'd want to buy the 3.2, drive a 997 C2 3.6 and then drive a 997 Turbo you'd want the turbo.....My point is that both cars are fantastic!!! Again, when it comes to colours, go for what you want, I think Boxster Red and Sand Beige look stunning....depending on the exterior colour. Tips on negotiating, find a salesman that is interested in what you are looking for and not what he wants to sell you. These cars are unique and finding the right one might take sometime. Phone to make an appointment and make sure you give yourself plenty of time to cover all area's. Drive a 2.7, but make sure you don't just do a 5 minute demo. Don't drive something that is over budget or it will cost you!! Craig
  8. Send in your CV..... There's room for one more
  9. Mook!! Thats a shame as I would of seen if I could of done him a better deal, Only needed 1 more for my target!!!!!
  10. He's a top guy, yes he does deliver!! Mook, I think you need to be getting in on a few letters of intent on 991 GT3. The Panamera is just amazing and the Cayenne Diesel wipes the floor with any SUV diesel I've ever driven. The PDK gearbox is the way forward, I thought the TiptronicS gear box was good!! If any one needs any help regarding Porsche I'll do my best to answer any questions. Not sure if I can say I work at Porsche Silverstone ? Rich, Mook, Tipex please advise. Thanks Guy's for the mention. Craig
  11. I seem to recall a similar problem a few years back and it tuned out to be an alternator on its way out. I'm no mechanic but I'd get the alternator tested?
  12. Rich, I know a very good smart repair man!!! I'll send you his address, you can post it to him:D
  13. Sounds like an airflow sensor to me! Does it drive ok? If it does then that will probably be the problem. Take it to your local OPC and get them to investigate......
