Chillihead
Hi, after a *ock up by an un named Audi dealer in my local area, I am now the proud owner of 3 x glass treatments, much as they will not accept that this is Aquapel, re packaged and supplied with a couple of extras, I am still happy. My problem is, how do I clean my windscreen and banish all traces of Rain-X? Not concerned with side, rear and lights, just windscreen. Having trawled the net, it seems, please comment. That Aquapel really does rock. How do I completely remove this, prior to a virgin application of Aquapel? Comments, as always. Very welcome. techieboy
Use a traffic film remover or Megs All Purpose Cleaner and then clay the screen? Would certainly strip all waxes but not sure about whether it would do the same for all traces of Rain-X.
steelwind101
Hi Chilli If you clay the window then it should be removed!! It might be hard to tell exactly at first b/c clean, QD'd glass will also bead water. Geoff
Mook
[ QUOTE ] Use a traffic film remover [/ QUOTE ] The only thing I would say if you're using this is make sure you get it ALL off - it's acidic, so eats into any windscreen surrounds. Megs stuff is non-acidic and there are other non-acidic products on the market.
steelwind101
I think what is being discussed is a Non-caustic TFR.
