dadeejay
Hi all! This is the first time I write on this forum (registered on this morning...) and I'm from Italy where the R32 is an extremely rare object... By the way the % of color is the opposite registered here: only silver and black R32s are delivered and the deep blue ones coem from parallel importers (is it right...? yes...? ) Well... what about mine? The problem is: if I stay at 1000 rpm, gear in neutral, the engine vibrates, not a lot, but in enough to worry me... I also feel vibrations, randomly generated, at the minimum... Is it normal for you or is only a problem of my car? My VW authorized center says it could be a coil that sometimes, at the low revs looses some hit and then the engine go 5 cylinders... Shoul I worry?????? For now it's all... Bye!!!!!
Gti_Fly
Yes worry if a coil pack is gone wrong. But if it is a coil pack then normally you should get a warning light in your dashboard light up! Something is wrong with your car, as these cars should not shake at idle! Have your dealers managed to plug their dianostic computers in to see what is wrong?
dadeejay
Yes but the OBD says everything's ok, the EPC doesn't lit on and everything seems regular... After the check the memory was reset and the only thing I noticed is that the urban fuel consumption dropped from 20-22Lt./100km to 15-16Lt./100km and that's fine but these vibrations still remain... on the other side the car goes very well, I think, Last week on a higway i saw 250 km/h (oh, sorry... you use mph let's say about 155-160 mph?) and I had to leave the gas because I had to brake, but felt something yet to have from the engine... Another thing I notice is that if I push all the accelerator down under 2000 rpm I see some kind of embarassment getting revs and going out of the mud of the low revs... In any way you confirm me that no one here has seen a behaviour like this...? tnx.....
s4dreamer
Hi dadeejay, weilcome to Tyresmoke! I was sitting in my car yesterday morning waiting for the ice to melt off the windscreen, and noticed a slight vibration at around 1000-1200rpm. There was no vibration at idle speed and no vibration above this engine speed. I don't think it is anything to worry about (although I must admit that at first I thought the car was misfiring).
