Muppetboy
Anyone got a value on a Feb '06 MkV with 28k miles, good condition (with a couple of badly kerbed 17's ) , metallic paint and sunroof?
Cagey
Well mine is listed by Glass' at app. £16.5k (April '06, DSG, 17", 24k), and was offered 16k by a non-vw dealer last saturday. Hope that helps a little.

[/ QUOTE ] Exactly what I got for my basic spec, import, April 06, 5dr DSG, as a part ex last October with a non VW dealer.
davyk31
So what should I expect to get offered for my Feb 2006 5 door GTI in silver with leather, 18s and parking sensors. Absolutely immaculate with only 7,500 miles from new?
TwoSheds
About £15,600 to £15,800...( Trade )
davyk31
[ QUOTE ] About £15,600 to £15,800...( Trade ) [/ QUOTE ] Would be hoping for a bit more, as always. What would a realistic private sale be?
JonC
Your thread got me thinking of the value of mine. According to Glass's a mint condition, fully loaded (and I mean every optional extra bar DPC and sunroof) "56" plate (MY07) 5-dr GTI, with 11k values at £17,800 trade in, £19,300 retail and £16,600 privately. I have no intention of selling it as it's a keeper, but loosing over £10k in 10 months is rather dis-heartening! Still, I love it and it brings me so much joy every day
oxfordlad
Quick question, for imports do you have to adjust the value of the car on these guides?
JonC
I would say, yes. Best to check via Glass's but it will cost you £3.50 per search

JonnyGTi
[ QUOTE ] Quick question, for imports do you have to adjust the value of the car on these guides? [/ QUOTE ] It really depends on whether you are part-ex' ing with a VW dealer or selling privately (and how old your car is - in warranty / out of warranty). On a newish car (less than 3 years old) you could probably expect around £500 less as a part ex. with a VW dealer.
