stevej69
Are the Audi Service Plans worth the money? My used A4 is 6 months old with 6k on the clock. Its obviously still got 2.5 years left on the warranty etc. I have been offered a servicing plan for 20.38 per month (Service only) or 29.04 (Service and Maintenance). The numbers look favourable but wondered if anyone had any experience of them. I do have a very good independant who looked after my old B6, but wanted peoples thoughts and advice as i dont want to be fighting the warranty company if something goes wrong, not that i think it would be caused by my indy but you never know what these warranty companies are like. Mook
If I were you, I'd get Poole Audi to do all the regular servicing and get your independent to do all the maintenance. The quickest thing to do is to multiply your monthly by 12 and if that comes in less than a 10K service, then do it. Audi warranty through Poole Audi is very good - mine's been in three times for claims and they've got no qualms in claiming on the warranty if it's a claimable problem. Cameo
It might be worth asking them the cost if you include tyres. When I got my B6 S-Line in 2004 it only added £6 /month (10,000 miles a year contract) for 18" tyres- the only down side is they have to be Continentals or Pirelli. So far I've got through 8 tyres in 3 1/2 years (and 28,000 miles) in addition to the other routine maintenance, so by my calculations I'm quids in
