stewarta13wsb
It's so easy to order the next best thing but I'm trying to be economical so I had a look through my box of bottles and tins and after a wash with Chemical Guys Body Wash & Wax (the car, not me ) I decided to use up some of the old stuff. I blew the cobwebs off my bottle of NXT Tech Wax and an hour later had a surprisingly shiny looking car! If memory serves, I think the problem with NXT is the time it lasts?? So from my box of tricks, what could I safely add on top to make it last longer - P21S, Collinite 476S, Meguiars #16, 1Z Glanz Wax, and Chemical Guys InstaWax + ?? Thanks,
drpellypo
NXT's good stuff. But yes, it's not very durable. The problem with mixing waxes as it can lead to bonding issues. Personally, I'd just keep topping up the NXT, and when you come to replace it, strip the lot off, and start again with colly.
steelwind101
Nothing wrong with NXT! Its not so much that it is short lived, just its good looks seem to fade too soon. If you apply it often its great!
MajorH
Last year I used nxt on a met blue grande Punto and it was v durable in a dry but very dusty enviroment, was dissapointed last weekend that I had less than 10 cc in resevre. bpsmith
I have got an almost brand new bottle that was given to me as the guy did not get on with it. Never really thought about trying it as also have a lot in stock but have to do the Smart Car for the Mother-in-Law soon so might just use the remnants of the Meg's Stage 1 and 2 and finish with NXT just to try it out? bpsmith
The Smart is rarely washed so any LSP will be a bonus!
steelwind101
I always used step 2 polish before the NXT, gives extra depth and warmth!
stewarta13wsb
So if I'd wanted to use either the 1Z Glanz Wax, or the Chemical Guys InstaWax +, should they have been on before the NXT, are they a type of sealant?
steelwind101
Glanz is a sealant, very solvent you certantly couldent put anything before it. InstaWax can be topped but this product does container cleaners i would be unsure about putting this on top of the NXT as im sure it would alter the looks and probably remove it.
