JonC
Just finished mine and my wife's car. Now, mine gets 4 hours of TLC very week, so the paint's protected and deep in shine. Thing is, with my wife's Suzuki Swift Sport, (which incidentally only has 1500 miles on the clock so has hardly been exposed to the elements too long) road dirt, tar spots etc seem to hold firm on the paintwork. I appreciate there are probably less coats on the Swift than on mine, but is it just a case of paint protection/nourishment to reduce further dirt adhesion? drpellypo
If you imagine tar is designed so it stays on the road with thousands of tonnes of weight pummuled over it every day, then you can get an idea of how much of a bonded contaminate it is. There's not a lot that will prevent this. Road dirt however a good sealant or wax will help to prevent in the sense that it will rinse away with water better.
