surfdude
Just traded my 2006 320d for an ex-demo 335d Coupe M Sport with 3k on the clock. Had it a week and it seems as quick as my 2005 M3 Conv - stunning! It has good a good spec, but no BT prep. Anyone had the BMW kit retro fitted, maybe by an independant ? Thanks
gizze
Have you got the logic 7 sound, nav or DAB radio? if you have I think it is quite an easy retrofit.
surfdude
No, just got the standard radio with single CD. No NAV.
gizze
The problem with the new kit is it uses the most bus (optical network) to hook up, and only cars with either, nav or with dab, logic7 or bluetooth need the harness with the optical cable. if you have the Professional radio there is a slim chance you do have it though, have a look in the boot behind the trim panel on the left, see if you can see a cable there. Have you got a cd changer?
surfdude
thanks gizze, will take a look when i get the car back. It has packed up twice ! Not happy at all .... stuck in park, garage fixed it, then stuck in third gear, then in park again !!! Hope to get it back some time this week, then will look for cable. I know it does not have a cd changer..
gizze
Tell your dealer to look at this service bulletin for bluetooth retrofit. http://www.bmwtis.com/tsb/bulletins/bulletin_graphic_temp/B841405g.htm Which links to this retrofit guide.... http://www.bmwtis.com/tsb/attachments/B841405_E9x.pdf You could get all the bits yourself, fit and then get the dealer to programme the car, this would be far, far cheaper.
