scooby_simon
Any free alternatives?
Sponge
It annoyed me when I learnt they had started charging, so I started looking for alternatives too. I can't really recommend any, as I didn't like them, or they didn't work. (Google will provide alternatives.) So I started to use windows explorer instead. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles of say, SmartFTP, but it does the job. For me anyway.
Mook
CoffeeCup Free FTP - Free FTP Software
Mook
I should qualify that a bit more. We use the chargeable license version of Coffe Cup, called Direct. Works a treat and allows you to edit files on the remote FTP server. We recommend the free version to clients who are uploading files to our FTP servers and have never had any problems with it. They didn't previously have a free license model - AFAIK, it only came in last year. Works well and is v easy to use. HTH
