CarMad
Anyone know of any good ones around. No I haven't got a PS3 yet but its on the cards so wondered if anyone had seen any bargains around. Zavvi have the best I've seen so far. £320 for 80Gb console, Any 1 game and Any 1 Blueray and HDMI and charging cables I think it was. Need to get my Gran Turismo fix its been far to long not playing with it.
SINGH
New currys store in Wednesbury was selling brand new 80gbs today for £199, im pretty sure they would have all been sold out by now but maybe worth a call.
CarMad
I think after 3000 people turning up, a 7 mile tailback that closed the M6 and the odd mini riot they might have gone by now. Plus The journey up and down would wipe out half of the saving I bet.
tom_hargreaves
I think amazon had a similar deal you mentioned above carmad, but for £299? EDIT: For £299.99 on Amazon, you can get a free HDMI cable and FIFA 09 (Or another selected game), or if you'd prefer can get a selected Blu-Ray Movie when you use the code GAME4TEN at the checkout. CarMad
Cheers Tom, think the Zavvi gets it for now, just need to get finance approval. She lets me spend £600 on a new amp but is still against me getting a PS3, but I still love her.

pontyslapper
If you haven't jumped yet and there's one local - get and have a look at Costco. Oh you'll need a Costco card to get in, or a mate with one.

CarMad
I've got one. From..... Argos of all places. They have the a cracking deal on at the moment. 80 GB PS3, Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, Little Big Planet and a mega pack with HDMI cable, second control, stand and remote (quality not the best but its good enough). Not played it much yet its just been installing patches for most of the day. Will have to see what else I need to get, but for now the two games will be enough I think. Tipex
Not played it much yet its just been installing patches for most of the day. Welcome to the world of PS3! "I've got a spare 30 mins (woo hoo) i'll have a quick blat on Gran Turismo I think" *turns on PS3 PS3 - An update is required, blah blah blah. 30 mins later, "update 3% complete, do not switch off etc etc...":mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Shame Gran turismo 5 is the dullest/crappest/least realistic/least fun game every though. Get yourself a copy of Pure - much more fun!! Other games I'd recommend are burnout and ratchet and clank, besides the obligatory fps titles.
CarMad
I love GT5 if its only for the accurate noises but I do think its pretty accurate, better than the older versions at any rate. Done the C events so far. They are talking about adding damage before the end of the year that would be great. Though saying that am going to get Burnout after playing it a few weeks ago at a friends fantastic fun. Been playing Little Big Planet today its FANTASTIC, other half loves it as well, highly recommended. :notworthy::notworthy::notworthy: As for the downloads thank goodness I've got a fast connection. Downloaded a load of demos as well or should I say downloading.....

CarMad
not wishing to sound daft but what exactly do you do in Little Big Planet? You have to get your little sack boy to the end of the level, completing little challenges or jumps and collecting things along the way. Its hard to explain but great fun, every level is completely different. I looked at the pictures and thought, erm no don't think its my cup of tea and probably wouldn't have bought it, but it came in the package and its had great reviews. But playing it is a whole different ball game, both myself and the wife have been playing it for hours today and it never got boring. They have just managed to make it cracking fun both to play and visually, its a really rich environment and even customising the sack boy is good fun.
