dwilcox1014
I have a 2002 Allroad and have noticed waterspots form on the roofrack and other brightwork. I can not remove these stains no matter what cleaner or polish I use. Has any seen this problem or have a solution

audia8s2
I have a 2005 Allroad and have exactly the same issue, my A8 had the same problem on it's door trims. Unforutunately there is nothing you can do. The trims are normally laquered and the white spots or dullness forms underneath. Basically minor corrosion on the aluminium or chrome. I'm afraid replacement is the only option. Polish will make no odds I'm afraid. I've seen brand new audi's in the showroom with the same issue. aj84
Is this on the chrome? My first A6 (new shape) had chrome all-round but after a day or so, the "water marks" I thought were present were not actually removable. I bought los of chrome cleaning products but nothing did the trick and just made it shinier keeping the droplets on there. I then took it into Audi who replaced the entire chroming around the car under warranty. They said it was a problem with the original chrome decolouring. The replacements included the boot strip, each chrome strip around the windows and front grill/logo/area This was done a few months back
