bazza_g
Does anyone know if you can use the 20gb storage allowance that you get with Mobile Me for backing up your iTunes library online? Cheers
burble
You can use it for anything you like - just drag and drop stuff to the iDisk (assuming you've got it showing on your desktop).
bazza_g
cool, cheers will try and set it up tonight. not sure how long its going to take to upload my itunes library to the iDisk...! Might be better of just using a big external drive
burble
10Gb (for example) at 488Kbit/sec ('average' upload for home ADSL) would take about 2 days & 4 hours. An External hard disc is definitely a quicker option for both backing up and restoring. It's nice having a backup offsite but the chances of your hard drive and external hard drive going tits up at the same time is pretty slim. Mac
Bazza You can use MobileMe for that but if that's all you're using it for it's expensive and not that great as a backup tool? You'd be better off using something like Mozy. If you already have MobileMe then of course go do it - remember though any file bigger than 1Gb won't get sync'ed. Dunno whether this is on purpose, but I do know it doesn't work.
