carnell
Just had another look at your piccie and seen the Nav. Yours? Aventura? I really like them and as far as pick ups go, they're cool looking and better looking than the competition. Hi JC Been driving the bouncy castle about quite alot recently and getting use to it now, its a Navara Long Way Down model with the back on for all the swag, Ha Ha And yes they are quite cool looking

JonC
If you're a builder or blind... :buttcheeks: Actually, joking aside, I don't think they'd suit a builder's needs as the load bed is so high.

I don't think the actual builders drive them - it's the governor's motor of choice. How many 'For Sale' & 'To Let' signs can you get in the back? Edited October 20, 2009 by Tarmac_Terrorist
RedRobin
.... Re those VWR wheels, I was there today but we didn't get around to weighing them properly but having lifted the 12kg, 11kg, and 8kg rims, I reckon they're about 11kg. The Monza 18x8 are 12kg and the VWR rims are 19x8.5, so they're fairly light for their size.

RedRobin
did they have a play on your car today then ? cant be a lot left to do to it now ....We raised the suspension up just a small fraction because the offset of my new lightweight OZ wheels was zinging the wheel arch when driving hard. Some people remove the arch lining screw but that's not a very clever idea when it all works loose! The arch insides had already been pushed up inside. RedRobin
Does anyone know if theres any news on when or if VWR will offer these in different colours? ....Give Matt @ VWR a call on 01908 210088, but I doubt very much if VWR will be offering them in different colours. They prefer to keep things simple - Don't forget that they aren't a standard retailer and have to give priority to their racing commitments. RedRobin
Robin The wheels weight is 28.8 Lbs ....  Really!? That's ~13 kg and heavier than the ~12 kg Monza 18". I must say I'm very surprised as I thought that the VWR ethos was more performance orientated. Very roughly speaking, an inch diameter equates to approx a kilo in weight. So a Monza 19" would weigh about the same as the VWR 19" wheel. Thanks for the info Edited November 8, 2009 by RedRobin
carnell
Does anyone know if theres any news on when or if VWR will offer these in different colours? Vwr said to me that they will paint the wheels any colour you want, when i ordered mine they said they should be with you in about a week as they had to go to bodyshop to get painted, all in with the price

RedRobin
.... I think those are going to look good and smart, Geoff. I like the dishing on them and they'll suit the visual mass of the car. But do be particularly careful about kerbing - They do protude a fraction.
