Busby
Anyone else got/getting one? I've just had mine arrived courtesy of Game. Only got it out of the box so far but it's a lot sleeker than the original. I won't be firing it up for a couple of weeks as it's going in a room that is being decorated at the moment but am looking forward to having the built in wi-fi as I've never used XBOX Live! Booster
Good lord man! You have never used XBox live??? That's the whole point of it!! Get COD fired up and get yourself some of these to avoid causing distress to others in your house: Turtle Beach Ear Force X11 - Tesco.Direct They let you hear chat over the headset and the game sounds without using your tv sound. Busby
I know, I know!!! I just tend to play one game at a time until I've finished it or get bored with it. Then I get rid and get something else. Sometimes I go a month or more without having a game at all if there's nothing I fancy. Because of that I didn't think it was worth the £60 for Microsoft's wireless adaptor! We've decided to start using a spare room at home as a den - TV on wall, blu-ray, B&W speaker for ipod, nice comfy chairs, etc, etc. Thus it was worth buying the new XBOX to get the net on the TV in there without messing about running cables under carpets or through walls. This will now open up the world of XBOX Live to me :D I've got a £50 CEX voucher somewhere so I'll have to go and stock up on some old titles to play online. Busby
Decided to set the new XBOX up downstairs as it was annoying me being sat in the box! First impression was how much quieter it is than the original. You can hardly hear it running now. Setting up XBOX Live was easy enough and I had a voucher from the original console for a free month which I used. Already downloaded a couple of demo's but not played anything online yet. First downside is that you can't actually browse the net. I'd assumed you'd have a browser like you do on the Wii I didn't want to move the Wii as it's better off in the lounge. Damn you Microsoft
Sponge
My Elite has gone! HMV gave me £110 (gift card) for it and I am now xbox-less. I'm now on the lookout for an HMV with the new one in stock and I'll be joining the ranks of slim ownership.
