Hi all,

Have been away for a while. Just got a A5 3.0 tdi and need the knowledge base of TS! (I have had a brief chat with Shark)

Had Revo on my A4 and left the RS4 standard, but whats the current situation with A5's?

Lots of people seem to use Superchips? Who else to look at?

Maybe thinking Stage 2 Map... Is DPF removal advised?

Audi A5 3.0TDi Quattro 2008 DPF Removal Session « Sinspeed

Is the DPF seperate to the CAT? Can you remove both? From what i've read that should give about 310bhp?

What sort of cost or other options to get to this stage? intercooler? fuel pumps? Don't want to go mad with cost, would just like to breach 300bhp...

Any advice would be must appreciated!

Hi Mook,

Yes, did ask this question in the A5 forum then realised maybe it was better to put it in the main tuning bit as DPF removal is possible for all diesel cars so maybe more feedback!

Please feel free to remove it from the other section!

I have been making enquiries and I'm in a real quandry. Superchips and Revo don't offer a Stage 2 map for DPF removed cars...Potential problems?

Both offer about 280-290bhp and about 420lbft...But a local company apparently do a DPF removal and custom map...Although the old adage, if its too good to be true...

South West In Tech emailed me this

"The DPF unit will be removed and replaced with a link pipe, maintaining original sensors and custom made from T316 stainless steel. This costs £220.

Performance software to increase power/economy and remove the DPF functions cost £280. Performance will increase to 294bhp, torque will increase from 406 to 470lbft"

So, stick with the stage 1 map from a reputable mapper? Or try this 'link pipe' option?

Please! HELP ME!
