JaffaCake
To add a little to the RX-7 comment, I regularly attended meets with some serious motors and found that my RX-7 could (just) keep up with an M3 CSL and regularly wasted standard ones. The M3 CSL run was up the M40 in which we pulled from approx 110 to 180 with very little to choose between us. I openly admit that from a standing start the M3 would win to 60mph and probably win over a 1/4mile but on a rolling start there truly wasn't much in it. This was all from a stock 2000 year RX-7 Twin Turbo. Anyway, it's gone now so not much more to talk about or argue about. Edit to add that these are indicated not real speeds. I estimate an overread of 10-15mph.
