Things they didn't tell you your A8 could do

So the other day I found two pull down hooks in the top edge of the boot, really handy for holding bag handles to stop them rolling around the boot.

Has anyone else found anything about the A8 that surprised them?

i have self tinting glass :-) not sure if thats a standard item or an optional extra but i never noticed it before untill it was very cloudy then sunny kind of like reaction lenses in glasses i guess, so is that a standard thing or not because i have never heard of it before ??

Hi Dave, I have heard of that on the old Rover cars, but not on the A8, I had a look at the extra's in the current price list but didn't anything. I'll keep an eye on mine to see if it has it. Pretty cool if it does.

I assume the a8 is the same as my a6 in that it changes the heating when my other half gets in the car and puts her key in the ignition, to what she left it on when she got out of the car, irrespective of what setting I've put it on with my key in the ignition.

The key remembers a lot more settings than just the heating. It will also set the seat, steering wheel and mirrors ( 'cept the middle rear view one - bah!) to what they were last time that particular key was used.

i will be honest i too had trouble finding that in the options its odd because i dont think it is somthing you can add to the car like tinted windows ???
