rs32
Haldex Generation 1 switchable controller, as supplied by ExclusiveTuningparts.de Haldex Gen 1 switchable controller R32 S3 TT Quattro on eBay (end time 12-Apr-11 14:37:25 BST) Suitable for Mk4 Golf 4Motion / R32, Audi S3 (8L), Audit TT Quattro Mk1 and other cars that use the Gen 1 Haldex system. This upgrade allows the following settings for the Haldex AWD system : Streetmode This mode is for the normal road traffic. The All Wheel Drive is inactive (only front wheel drive is on) until the pressure exceeds +0,02 bar. If the pressure reaches more than +0,02 bar our 4-motion controller activates the all wheel drive in less than 1 sec. When the brake or handbrake is pressed the 4-motion controller deactivates the all wheel drive instantly. This is a safety function. After releasing the brake or handbrake the all wheel drive is activated again as long as the pressure is more than +0,02 bar. If the pressure is below +0,02 bar (after releasing the brake) the all wheel drive stays deactivated. Racemode This mode is for the speedway/race course (for example ¼ mile sprints). In this mode the pressure monitoring is deactivated and the all wheel drive is permanently activated as long as the brake or handbrake is not pressed. When the brake or handbrake is pressed the all wheel drive is instantly deactivated. This is a safety function. Haldex Off In this mode the all wheel drive is permanently deactivated. The kit comes with the following parts : * Gen 1 Haldex unit (modified to suit the switchable controller) with cable * Controller unit with cable * Switch & LEDs with cables/connectors * Pressure sensor wiring harness * Fitting instructions Rare item and ideal for a combined road/track car, project car e.g. 1.8T conversion to Haldex or just to add extra Haldex features to a road-only car.
