Bought from a dealer last year and only has 40k on the clock so I'm wondering if I need to get the belt changed or will I look a fool!? Mook Posted February 23, 2012 Report Share Posted February 23, 2012 Welcome to Tyresmoke The B6 V8 has a timing chain, so no, it won't need changing. Some do suffer from rattly chains and the only way to fix it is to replace the chains and tensioners, which is an engine out job.
