Mk3GTi
Great result just goes to show they don't always know everything about the law. It's a shame some people don't always look into it like you did and end up just taking it on the chin without investigating further
Luke
It's sounds so complicated even the police aren't sure what's going on. You were right to question it and get clarification. Hope it turns out good for you.
theduisbergkid
Nice that the cop had the decency to turn up and apologise, they're only human, at the end of the day
Chelsea Mick
Final update..... Well that's that! The Police Officer checked the MAM which was correct (just). He has emailed the local department that deals with fixed penalty notices, and informed them that no further action needs to be taken on this matter and to close it off. He phoned last week and informed us of the fact. I have a very happy Son. I must say that the Police Officer was at all times professional and understanding. He listened to what we had to say and followed up our findings and agreed with them. In fact he was a very decent man We only have one outstanding concern now. As I said previously, My Son and his friend were not allowed to continue on their journey after initially being stopped. They had to call out a recovery vehicle to get the stricken car to it's final destination which obviously cost them £'s As it now turns out, My Son and his friend were not breaking any law and therefore should have been allowed to complete their journey uninterrupted. My Son and his friend are quite keen to recover that cost which I can understand. They are not the highest paid workers and they are out of pocket. This was unnecessary as they haven't done anything wrong so why should they have to bare the cost.... Personally I wouldn't bother but I can see their point of view. m4ttm4son
Interestingly, if he had known the law and tried to explain it to the copper at the scene, how exactly might that have gone down with the officer? I'm pretty sure it wouldn't have been welcomed.
Chelsea Mick
Ps does the K1 really put out 380 bhp per your sig? Depending on which set of rollers you use really. The last one was 360 odd and AMD's rollers was 379 So in reality I guess it's gonna be between 360 & 380 ;-) --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?hy0x5y
