Booster
Can anyone recommend a decent laserjet printer that actually works with Windows 7 and 8 please!!! Fecking things are doing my head in!

Booster
USB the one for my machine which is Win7 is HP LJ 2605. Seems to work sometimes and not others. Edited February 26, 2013 by Booster
Andy_Bangle
2605 is a bit of an old model and pre-dates both Windows 7 & 8, have one here works on Win 7 but is slow and noisy. I've got no first hand experience of the Brother models below but they're "Windows 8 compatible" and have the drivers on Brothers Website, plus have lots good reviews. Brother HL-2240 Laser Printer or HL-2250DN
Booster
Much obliged Andy As I say, this one seems to work one day and the next it flags up errors. Very odd and very annoying!
Sponge
I use an HP LaserJet Pro CP1525nw without any issues.

Waylander
Is this a Laserjet issue or an HP issue? My canon inkjet seemed to work fine with the drivers out of the box? I googled and was advised to use the Win7 ones but didn't seem to need them?
stooH
Have just come here having seen your post in the LOJ I share your pain. My printer works, just not with any of the functionality that it had in Win XP. I uninstalled the automatically installed driver and downloaded the Win 7 stuff and put that in, i've now got the Epson print manager thing sitting in the task bar on the desktop that allows you to change the paper settings, print quality etc. However, when you actually go to print it just ignores that and gives me paper options of A4/Letter (so no photo sizes), no print quality, nothing. It just appears to ignore all the extra functionality. I tried printing pictures for my best man speech last night and it tried to print an A4 image onto a 6x4 photo so I just got the top left corner in a really poor quality. I nearly kicked the sh!t out of my PC yesterday.
