garcon magnifique
Tell that to Shark, he didn't have any problem keeping up with other so called performance cars from more prestigious 'sports' brands! Shark works magic.
DanG
Update - he's heard back from the garage and it needs £1600 worth of gearbox bits to get it working again. It's being fixed and then it'll be available if you're interested.... It's got the optional 'School Run' pack fitted too: kerbed alloys, dents and scrapes paint, cracked and missing Cheapo plastic interior trim and cloth seats in limited run beige 'random food stain' pattern. (Although the Cheaphaus plastic interior is actually standard fit on all Mercs up until 2011 so hardly worth paying extra for). Lovely example. Tipex
Mercedes are famous for making utterly shîte gearboxes, personally i'd only ever buy a traditional slush box auto Merc, as they are fine, anything else will be grief.
garcon magnifique
I had a 1998 E class with (apparently) one of the earlier electronically managed slush boxes. That was grief too. Really concentrates your mind when you pull out in front of a truck, floor it, and the ****ing thing goes into safe mode.
