CarMad
I'd prefer the original Mclaren F1 to any of the new ones if I'm honest, very much an analogue car which is what we mostly want for our cars. Still not sure about a performance car being full of batteries as being the best thing for handling and speed but lets see.

Woppum
There are some guys on the other forum I use that have done the 918 and P1 but I don't think anyone has had a crack on the LaF Personally I too would go La Ferrari - its off the charts looks wise and I think a safe bet to say the fastest too - win all round! Know one guy getting a laf and another who could get one, but won't. If i mad I'd get a 918 and consider a laf if could. Not sure I'd get 'that' much more pleasure than 458 - serious diminishing returns to be honest.
Woppum
Hmm. Don't forget Chris Harris's comments on Ferrari and their approach to testing cars...Hmmmnnnnn not sure u should believe that. Mules are seen years in some cases before production. Macca with the p1 had to cobble that together rather quick with little budget...My guess is with all these cars, even the 918 which has reputedly do e over 200k test miles so far, they will be updating customer cars as time goes on - e.g battery technology, gearbox etc... Woppum
It's strange, as a Ferrari fan I'm really not that excited by La Ferrari. I'm not sure of its looks, it's a stupid name and I suppose as a halo Ferrari it just seems unobtainable. And why would I bother when the 458 and F12 are so good? As for which between La Ferrari, Mac P1 and Pork 918, a hypothetical question if ever there was one. I assume La Ferrari is literally unobtainable as one needs to be "invited" to own one. The last McLaren road car that held any interest for me was built in the mid 90s. That leaves the 918 and leading edge Porsche engineering. That'll do for me. I was a fan of the Carrera GT and the 918 is even better in every way. Having said that, if you threw a Pagani Huayra into the mix I'd have that instead. Proper old school mentalist car. Interesting you like the pagani. I don't think it has been as much of a success as hoped. Personally don't like the look, it is admirable the attention to detail that has been put in to it, but a crying shame they have been forced to go down the turbo route. I hope it is not the death of pagani.

The LaF looks wise has the other two beaten without turning a wheel Are you back in UK yet and have you turned into a bottle of rum?
CarMad
I'd agree the new Pag has lots its soul, its all turbo charging whoosh and not a visceral attack on the ears that the Zonda was in its many guises. The car is stunningly well built and designer but it was the whole package with the engine that made it. I'd go so far as to say a Lexus LFA would give me more joy than the three new hypercars if I had the money to spend on them, but I don't, never mind. I hope it is not the death of pagani. It's a good point. I think I've only seen one Huayra, and that was static. I have always loved the sheer drama of the Zonda and would like to think the new car takes that to new levels, forced induction and all. One thing that is undeniable about the Huayra. It is fúcking fast.
Woppum
Someone I was talking to earlier has said the total opposite, they are so booked up dealer in uk is saying it's almost pointless taking orders. Apparently in total pagani made around 120 zondas over 12 years. That's not many a year ! Compare that Ferrari that are bossing out 400 in 6 months - it's a very different operation. Still not keen on them though, fast or not, however glad they exist and hope they succeed.
