Tipex
The sad thing is, the Streetwise is probably the best looking incarnation of the 25, I mean, look at the tarty lipstick wearing BRM edition or whatever it was called.

NewNiceMrMe
I quite liked the Rover 25 when it first came out. I always liked the 620ti too.
patently
I quite liked the Rover 25 when it first came out. Horrid ugly shitbox. I was given one once by a bodyshop*, and pulled over after 50 yards to call them and beg for something different. *Shut up, all of you, right now
NewNiceMrMe
I did say when it first came out....and my liking of it didn't last long. I still like seeing the Rover 600's on the road. Not that I can remember the last time I noticed one. My ex Father-in-Law had a 620ti and it had a decent turn of speed and a very good ride too. Tipex
The problem with the 25, was that it was already 25 years out of date when it was released. A mate of mine had a 620ti, think that's what it was anyway, turbo, went like stink. I still think the 800 Vitesse is a decent looking car, I so wanted my dad to buy one when I was a kid, probably because they marketed it as the 'fastback' but he sold his mk2 Zender Golf GTi and bought a Saphire Cossie instead, I think he made the right call! garcon magnifique
Would love to find a Rover 800 coupe. Now they are a rarity. Lovely Honda V6 motor too.
Tipex
The 2.0 turbo is way, way faster than the V6, cheap as chips now, perfect 18-30 fodder!

There's a green BRM parked every day in the office car park that belongs to one of our customer service laydeez. She's slightly unhinged - and also known as Jenny McRae by the way she drives it* * the car, that is
Tipex
One of our telephonists is called Jenny funnily enough, her nickname is 'Jenny corners' because she doesn't seem to get the concept of slowing down for them, it's a proper white knuckle ride getting in her car, which is that Lotus fettled Proton hatchback with a Mitsubishi engine, and quite quick, which doesn't help.
