Looking to go down for the Star Wars weekend and just wondering if it is worth paying the (seemingly very high) prices for the resort hotel or getting somewhere else outside the park? Cheers. Luke Posted March 18, 2015 Report Share Posted March 18, 2015 Yes I did recently. It's not cheap but well worth it. The kids absolutely adored it. Still go on about it now. The prices are utterly ludicrous. I get to a point on some things when I look at where else we could go for the money and there is no comparison. Tipex Posted March 18, 2015 Report Share Posted March 18, 2015 Can't speak for the hotel, we stayed at the T5 Travelodge (might have been Premier Inn) which was excellent, but overall, we found the whole Legoland experience to be a let down. Maybe we, and our kids, had been spoilt by Disneyland, but while we still enjoyed it, we found the place to be filthy, rubbish rides, poorly thought out given it's aimed at younger children as they couldn't go on a lot of the rides despite them being very tame. The Star Wars bit was a huge let down as most of the displays had been knocked over too. We wouldn't go again, and the kids didn't rave about the place either, for the same money, Disney Paris is a no brainier. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Mine did, they were gutted that they couldn't go on so many rides due to the utterly stupid restrictions on what are, at best, baby rides they'd go on at a travelling fair. Chick Posted March 18, 2015 Report Share Posted March 18, 2015 One year we had the merlin passes and literally spent 1 or 2 weekends every month at Legoland - the kids loved it. We still go annually but have never stayed over (although only being an hours drive away make it easy for us to travel both ways each day). If I was to book 3 nights on their (2 nights plus 1 free), for 24th April (a Friday), the price is £916 for 2 adults and 1 child. If I was to go to Disneyland Paris for 3 nights, same people, it would be £1,080. Both include park tickets. There are a few differences..... You get the breakfast in the Disney price and 4 days park access and a Lake view room. That is the point I was trying the make earlier. I can't say what Legoland is like inside, but as Disneyland Paris spans 4,800 acres and Legoland spans 150 acres, I think I know where you'd have a lot more to do. We love the Disney experience.
