In black. I thought, that looks quite nice, for an Audi. Waited for it to pull away from the lights (i was walking into town) i thought, that sounds nice, for an Audi.

Came home and looked for some for sale. Cheapest of the four on PH found was £89k! FOR A FRICKIN' AUDI........?

£90k, it is E Class/5 Series size. An M5 & E63 can easily be more than that.

M5 list price - £74k.

E63 AMG list price - £73k

RS7 list price - £85k

On that basis it starts at 13% more and from a spec perspective the M5 is already pretty much fully loaded.  I don't know about the E63.

Do they? According to the Audi website the RS7 sportback starts at £85k?

I think he meant the rs6 starts at 59k. Shouldn't the rs7 be compared to the m6 GC rather than the m5 which is a similar to rs6 vs rs7 list price, isn't it? Wasn't Golfers m6GC something ridiculous like 105k otr before discount, iirc?

I think that's a fair point (and the M6 comparison did cross my mind but I was simply replying to cruiser more than anything).+++

The M6 list prices are high and yes you'll get one over £100k in a heartbeat.

However - nobody buys at anything close to that.  There are massive discounts on them.  20% or more.

It isn't too long ago that my local dealer had an M6 that was 6 months old, with less than 4k on the clock, on the forecourt for £60k.....and they were preparing to knock more money off it.

But the discounts are available on the Audis too - they were chukc 12k at the RS6 as a deposit contribution not long ago before negociating discount!

I'm sure they are.  In fact, thinking of the M6 as its direct rival, both variants of the M6 have higher list prices - at £92k and £95k.

Strangely enough I'd just been reading about the Man United players returning to training today and, by coincidence, the article showed that Audi had given every first team player a new RS7.

They were all seen driving in their new RS's........

Until Wayne Rooney turned up in a BMW i8. :roflmao:

Audi will be chuffed.  Not. :roflmao:

Yes, of course the M6 GC and the CLS 63

D'uh!!!

Trust Rooney not to have read the email.......

But then again, BMW probably just asked him to do it!  :roflmao:

Given.... given them all an RS7.  FFS, half a weeks wages just like that.  Tax implications?  Interesting - if it were Greece, the forms would say they were given Tata thingies!

They all had A8's last year.

I think their tax burden on a car is going to be miniscule compared to the rest of what they pay to HMRC. :roflmao:

It should be noted that this is when the clubs main sponsors are Chevrolet - and after a season of driving them the club negotiated a loophole in the contract that allowed them to sign up another "Official Car Supplier" and Audi jumped in. :roflmao:

Don't you remember this photograph that the national press loved?

Sir Alex, looking delighted in his new Chevvy..... :roflmao:
