JonC
Will try and sneak a view for its launch. New settings, weight distribution, electronics and Michelins from what I've read.
Busby
Will be interesting if they talk about the changes they have had to make due to the tyre switch. Two hours to unveil a bike though - there is going to be some serious levels of marketing bs
JonC
Did you wstch the unveiling. They'll be testing a new under-seat tank "in a bid to adapt to the new tyres' grip characteristics." Quire incredible the affect that new tyres will have on a tried and tested bike set up on Bridgestones.
Busby
Yeah, it wasn't a badly run affair at all really. They got Lin Jarvis and the chief designer out nice and early and having Gavin Emmett run things worked really well I thought. It was a funny mix of not much changed from last year but the changes are massive - like the spec electronics, new tyres and the new tank. Changing tyres and going to a standard electronics package must have led to a huge amount of test riding trying to dial things in. JonC
And they're well behind the others in testing it seems.
