rmmacauley
Hi , I am considering buying a Porsche 968 - it is 1995 , 'S' is the trim level and it has all the stamps from the local Porsche main dealer , and has 88k miles. The interior is cloth and the bodywork is a bit tatty (no rust but multiple scratches) but the price reflects this. Can anyone help me with these questions? - 1 There is a rattle from the gearlever when the throttle is pressed. Any ideas what this is and is it terminal? The interior is quite rattly otherwise. 2 Should the car have aircon? What is the aircon switch like if it is fitted? 3 Does this model of 968 have ABS? there is no airbag. 4 Are they expensive to run ( I have an Audi S3 presently) Many thanks in advance
rmmacauley
Decided not to buy. Does anyone actually read this part of the forum ? I've never seen a dead thread like this on the Audi part!
loddrik
Now a 968 Clubsport, now you're talking. Incidentally, if you're after a better response, try 'general cars'.
Blue
I think the problem with this question would be that no one on here has/or still owns a

zzpza
i may be able to help with generic questions as the 968 is a facelifted 944, especially similar to my car as it's a turbo. otherwise i know a few people with 968 who could maybe help. j. 968speedster
Best bet is to post your questions on the 968 UK website, very active and some very knowlegable people on there the whole time. Did you buy the last Porker World with the 968 Buyers Guide(No 124, July 2004 )? 911 & Porsche World I've had my LHD 968 Coupe for about 3 years, I'm a driver rather than a mechanic, but I'll be happy to help with any questions you've got.
