kenypoo
My dash display gets dim when it gets warm. Anyone else have the problem or a solution.
Sven
Welcome on TSN! Yeah, I've heard about it before on older cars. Some people have even installed cooling fans from a computer... I'm afraid it means the LCD screen of the DIS is on the way out. So you can either live with it, or get a replacement. Unless someone else knows a solution...? Chrisg
Yep, that's right. Audi have offered to pay 70% of the £500 on her A4 quattro T sport ' known problem' according to the dealer. I believe that it was a huge problem for the TT owners a couple of years ago.
grahamb
My 97 A6 suffers from the same problem (red display). Its only noticeable on the two horizontal lines on the dash display, and as it read 31 degrees C today (exceptionally hot) it exhibited the fault. It'll be fine again in the morning though Not worth replacing anyway.
