Mollox
leon, I do hope you're not just using tyresmoke to advertise your wares. I notice you have made a post in the VW forums but if your ads continue to outweigh your contributions to the forums then we won't be happy. Thanks

Chrisg
Leon ,there have been some "traders" using the site . So , what can you tell us about trackday tyres ?
Mollox
Leon, If you have the ‘4, the beemer and the GTi then jump aboard and tell us more. I’m sorry If I sounded abrupt – its just that lately we have had a stream of people coming on board with the sole intention of getting free advertising and using the marketplace as a platform to promote their business interests with no intention of adding anything to the community. Our line has always been that the marketplace is here for tyresmoke users to buy or sell anything they want. But we do like to see that people are establishing themselves in the forums. A key strength of the marketplace is the trust between tyresmoke members. Tyresmokers should feel safe that they’re not going to get shafted when buying or selling from/to someone in the marketplace. This confidence comes from the fact that people integrate themselves into the community and trust is built in this way. We have always been fast to clamp down on any businesses that try to take advantage of the forums. Our simple logic is that it undermines our paying advertisers for whom we work to get the best return on their investment in Tyresmoke. If any business would like to discuss advertising on Tyresmoke.net then all we ask is that they email crew @ tyresmoke DOT net. Anyone that thinks they are going to get smart will have to contend with the Justice Stig So anyway, back to my original point, welcome to Tyresmoke. All we ask is that users bear in mind the points raised above
spinks
i fit new slicks to all sorts of race cars and keep there old ones to sell at trackdays but also for the porsche guys i hav part worn pilot sport cups im not a trader just an employee trying to make a bit of money and hopefully help a few people out and if u aint drove a car on a track with slicks on then try it its great fun and alot faster than your road tyres
Scotty
What are you thoughts on the extra forces put on cars when they have slicks on. I've always been told not to as you can greatly exceed the forces that cars are designed for.
